Colorado Springs, CO – The AFCEA Rocky Mountain Chapter received the 2015 Model Young AFCEAN Program Award on December 22, 2015. The Model Young AFCEAN Program Awards are presented by AFCEA International to showcase AFCEA chapters that have developed and maintained strong Young AFCEAN programs. The Rocky Mountain Chapter was recognized for promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through support and participation of school-aged science fairs and projects. Robert Wright Jr., President of the AFCEA Rocky Mountain Chapter said, “…the future success of all AFCEA chapter programs depends on the continued engagement of our Young AFCEAN volunteers.  I applaud their drive and initiatives to keep our chapters relevant to today’s issues.  Our designation as a 2015 Model Young AFCEAN Program is well-earned, and is testament to their strong leadership.” AFCEA International will recognize the 2015 Model Young AFCEAN Program Award Winners at WEST 2016 Conference in San Diego, California on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the Young AFCEAN Awards Reception. Other AFCEA Chapter recipients include Aberdeen, Alamo, Belvoir, Bonn E.V., Central Maryland, Dayton-Wright, Fort Knox Gold Vault, Hawaii, Kaiserslautern, Lexington-Concord, Montgomery, Northern Virginia, Tampa-St. Petersburg and Washington D.C.
